May 9th is getting closer by the day and we have a lot to tell you about the upcoming SoccerPalooza event. Our booth will be right next to AC Milan and we couldn’t have better neighbors because Nutrilite is a corporate sponsor! By the way, did you know that Ronaldinho is also sponsored by Nutrilite?

This year we are focusing on kids’ nutrition and Nutrilite has come out with a new chewable multivitamin for kids called MultiTarts. Our two nieces have given it a thumbs up!

The good friends part:

Some great friends of ours, Dona and Wendell Sather, stopped by on Thursday for a visit. We hadn’t had the pleasure of having them stay over for awhile and it was terrific to spend time with them again.

The good food part:

They got in around dinner time and asked about a good place to eat. Mexican food came up in the discussion and we took then to one of our favorite places in Shoreline. The name of the restaurant is Taqueria Guaymas and they have a wonderful vegetarian menu! We ordered what we thought was an appropriate amount of food, but, well, I ended up with a refrigerator full of leftovers (I’m not complaining too much)!

The good discussion part:

We finally had a little time to explain our weblog, how it works, and what we want to accomplish using it. We will be talking more over the coming months and sharing the experiences gained through social media. We will be sending out an updated newsletter after our next event (SoccerPalooza) on May 9^th. Amway Global proudly announces a new sponsorship this holiday season! The NBC Holiday Celebration on Ice will feature an all-star cast of legendary skaters including Nancy Kerrigan, Todd Eldredge, and Yuka Sato, plus performances by American singer-songwriters Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.

The special will air on NBC on November 30th and on the Style Network on December 21st, 22nd, and again on the 24th. Click here for dates and times.

A good friend of mine emailed me last week (hi John, thanks for the email) and let me know he and his wife were in sunny California and had gone to see Tina Turner in concert.

He didn’t know that Amway was sponsoring this concert series and was surprised by the “Artistry Mobile Brand Experiences” (or MoBEs). See Linda’s post about these MoBEs here.

He then mentioned how great Tina did in concert, saying in no uncertain terms that she can still “KICK IT.”

I was a little bit disappointed that there was no concert date for Tina in Seattle! I would have really enjoyed seeing her and the MoBEs in person. But word is that as soon as the concert series is finished, the MoBEs will begin touring the U.S. and Canada so we can all get a look at them.

It’s the Tina Turner world tour widget. Not only are the concert dates listed, but there are tabs you can click to look at pictures and videos from the tour that started on October 1st. Go ahead, try it, it’s cool!

Why is the Tina Turner tour such a big deal to us?
